Do you have a forum that pisses you off so much that you wish that Half-Life 2 will never get released?
I mentioned my most hated forum ever...the official Prince of Persia: Warrior Within forums.
I think you would know why I hate it so much...if you had read my other thread.
Anyways, what's your most hated forum? And second of all, why?
Anyways, I am going to view what is going on at the Prince of Persia forums. I am going to see how much retarded threads the moderators missed and prove them all wrong even if they are right because they are suck-ass-don't-deserve-kick-ass-games wussies. Now I don't mean all of them suck, but I haven't met a forum member that didn't suck so I am going to say that they all suck.

The FarCry forum over at Ubi's site. Reason is, the kids there are grammarly challenged, you must be able to read "slang" most of the time. Or better yet people evading bans there and causing drama, did I mention its like highschool drama all over there? I think the age limit for most of them is like 13 or 14...But I now hear some are in college, I just shake my head in disgust.
 
Battlefield Vietnam forums at the official EA site.

Worst forum I've ever seen. Luckily there's a lot of forums for the Battlefield Series that are a lot friendlier and have better moderation.
 
Generally speaking, I hate Finnish forums. People have no sense of humour, they value flamewars above everything else (and one of their tactics is to blame the opposition for starting one), they follow you from thread to thread if you've had an argument with them, they are close-minded and elitist.

I once frequented Planetfortress' forum. Back in those days, you got banned for having unpopular or politically incorrect thoughts, or for swearing (they didn't have a filter). Terrible place.

Counter-Strike forums: 'nuff said.

Anyway, the WoW forums kinda sucked. The stress test topics were cool, but tons of beta testers would post saying arrogant, retarded stuff like "I'm so glad the idiots got weeded out and didn't get into the beta."

These forums have a love hate relationship with me. There are a few "oldskool" members that keep me here. If they left, I'd leave in an instant (and yes, you're one of them cybie :D).

Like Shuzer, I have a bit of a love hate relationship here. As it's grown larger it's obtained some more insufferable members - real morons. Not to mention that, as time's gone by, the threads have been getting stupider and more tired. But, as you can see by my post-count, I spend too much time here:hmph:

The Cooper Temple Clause (a British rock band) message boards have some miserable/cocky/aloof members, but generally they're good. If I didn't like a forum, I wouldn't spend any time there.
 
I just got back from arguing with a crazy military person (on a Finnish messageboard). Basically he said I'm a worthless person because I've never done anything of value (which is odd, because he doesn't know anything about me and I haven't said anything about what I have and have not done). For example, I don't stockpile on weapons or run around in army camouflage, yelling military catchphrases. So obviously, I'm a useless person.

He really had amazing insight. He concluded that I'm a deeply religious female teenager because I don't have a gun. Hmm.

Honestly, I hate the Internet and its people.

You get into more fights on the internet than anyone I've ever seen. How do you manage it?

I'm keeping an eye on this thread - I don't want anyone to be slagging off other HL2 sites or forums out there. I know some of you have differences with them, but it just causes trouble if you go around saying other HL2 sites suck. The truth is they don't - we all just have our own version of the same information.

Although I do have quite some posts there, because there are good boards too there, but it has some of the most shortsighted people I've ever seen. Creative people though, they seem to twist around any topic to "blame it on the muslims".

I only visit this forum, so I don't really have anything to ahte about any others. As for this place...If it were up to me you would all be banned. This....is perhaps the reason why I was never given the option to ban people. ;)


Muslims aren't the new jews...Muslims are the muslims. There has always been a sense of "Ah the muslims are teh evil!" in our cultures. Largely because of the amount of wars we have had, but also I believe they stole our parking space.

That wasn't meant to be anti-semetic or anti-anything. In fact, I am Jewish myself....

The point I was facetiously trying to make was this:

Jews have been the world's scapegoat since the beginning of their existance (almost 6000 years)... Now it seems that everyone is blaming everything on Muslims.
 
Hmmm...Perhaps. I know what you meant, and I wasn't suggesting you were being anti-semtic. I was simply saying that muslims have always been in bad stead with us. True, there was a time when Jewish people were balmed for all our problems, but that was a brief period. That isn't to say they haven't been persecuted, but often its more of "doing the rounds". So, they get kicked out of one country and move onto another, and that carries on.

Oh yes. I like cake. And I'm still bitter about the PHL forums. The mods are all jerks.

Yep. I already said that though.. sadly, most of them were randomly picked to be in the beta, so they're retards. Very few were asked to be in it.

Pretty much any **official** forum for a game is a bitch to post on, half-life2.com had forums it would be hate filled.
