this is more of a philosophical debate so be warned and i'm not sure it even has any real point or moral, just something it fell on my mind.
i was eating a pizza in some plain, nothing fancy restaurant. there were not that many people in at that hour and the news was on. talking about sports, politics, weather...
there was one bartender, two cooks, some drunks at the bar and a few random people. obviously it was not busy so everyone kinda just watched TV or doing something menial.
the pizza cook was kinda tired of the workday making the same shit 8 hours strait, the other was boringly watching TV so were the drunks. it got me thinking...what do these people give a **** about some higher philosophies, critical behavior, meaning of life stuff...you know, the things we so bitch about here. they're just doing their jobs to put food on their family, getting a drink because they hate it at home and would rather be here.
it goes for all other kind of people, mechanics, plumbers, construction workers, car salesman's, the ladies at the counters, lumberjacks, workers at the conveyor belt.,,basically plain workers low to middle class. not that i look upon them, far from that...it's just this eerie feeling of how we spend our time having debates, value some higher ideals, talk about philosophy.
basically the feeling was "out of touch" with the world with them. ok i have to admit it...sometimes i get the feeling of "being more" than them. but of course that is bullshit, since in the grand scheme of things i'm probably as important to the universe as a fart is to the theory of general relativity.
i have no idea what's my point, so i let you to interpret and add you opinion. a good start might be about the out of touchiness of rich and powerful people compared to the poor masses.
