I have an 256 AGP X800GTO made by Crucial.

Currently, the clock / memory speeds are running at 400 / 490, and it has twelve pipelines running. However, I have a couple of questions:

1.) Is it possible to enable more than 12 pipelines? I thought up to 16 could be enabled?

2.) What is the maximum safe limit I could overclock to?

Cheers,

I have a Sapphire 256MB X800GTO AGP

Read the bottom of this page to see if it's unlockable.

I used this link to edit the bios to unlock the extra pipelines.

And you'll also need to visit this link to learn how to flash the BIOS.

I flashed my bios to a permanent 440/530 overclock, I think anything over that on cards based on the R430 core isn't safe.

Ive just unlocked it and overclocked to those limits - What sort of performance increase will I be looking at now?

It depends on the card... my core sits at 429, but my memory is comfortable around 560 :)

Run 3DMark... AFAIK your card is now most identical to a X800XL, so checking those benchmarks should give you an idea

depending on if the core is r430(x800xl) or r480(x850xt)

I thought the R480 was only in the GTO2? anyways, bargain :)
