I have the Leadtek A400gt TDH (6800gt Agp8x) and have overclocked it to 400/1100 clock frequencies. My cooling is not great, but it does the job- Idle temps are CPU 30C, Case 26C and GFX card 47C. These did not change since i overclocked, probably due to the huge and seemingly very effective heatsink on the gfx card. I have not overclocked anything else. I am having no problems now, but my question is, what are the implications for doing this in the long term (say in a year's time or more)- is there likely to be any degradation in any sense, or any shortening of the card's life? I like it at Ultra speeds, but will not risk it for much longer if there is likely to be problems in the future.
Thanks for any help.
btw: i hear the 6800gt differs from the ultra only in frequency? If so, would that mean it's perfectly safe to run it at ultra speeds? Also, i haven't done any real stress testing- but ive been playing bf2 quite a bit! Without any probs whatsoever.
