I have PC2700 and want to OC it to 3200. Is there a possibility I can ruin the ram? It's not a popular brand but I do have a nice heat spreader on it, heh.

kthnx

With overclocking, there is always the possibility for disaster, otherwise everyone would do it. Depending on the brand, you may not get a whole lot out of it, heat spreader or not. Without any manufacturer name, I guess the only way to tell is to try.

you'd have to oc it 44mhz which will probalaly be impossible
youd fry them from the volt increase.
heat spreaders are mainly for looks

PC2700 - 166MHz/DDR333
PC3200 - 200MHz/DDR400

Hey, it's not a big deal, I have 2700 RAM and I still can run anything probably within the next year at least just fine. It doesn't matter THAT much.

Just wanted it for stability so I can clock my 2800 to a 3200.

Well, that too, in my motherboard for example, I can change the Ram:FSB speed ratio (I have it set at ~4:5 I think:266FSB, 333Mhz memory).

it really depends on your cas timing. if you have cl2 you could relax your timing and probally get to 200 if your ram is good. Other than that there isnt much else you can do.
