Whats this I hear about overclocking video cards?
Do you "overclock" it and it becomes a PRO or a 9800 or something?
Or does it increase FPS, and is overclocking your video card safe and effective???

uh when you overclock a card you push up the core speed and the memory speed up past their normal clock, if you go to high, or the card can't handle it, you can screw it up for good.

Does that increase FPS?
The way I see it, machines were meant to be manipulated.

Basically yes it does simply speed up fps.

You just keep upping it until you see artifacts, graphical glitches.
Cant really screw up the card for good if you stop when you start seeing artifcats and back it down a little.

yes you can, espically if the person doesnt know what there doing, or has bad cooling.

ATI all da way baby!
I have an ATI Raden 9600 Game Buster 128MB ram, but it's sometimes recognized as a 9600 PRO.

Thats the perfect card for OCing. Just don't set it on fire.
