Overlord

So, I just checked out the Overlord PC demo [1.1GB] and it's pretty darn awesome by my reckoning! You order around little goblin minions who then wreak havok for you, running around with improvised pumpkin helmets from the farm they've just looted while you set a field full of farmers on fire.

There's already a thread on the demo at least, but yes, this is mighty fun, though I dunno about full price for it...maybe after a drop or two.

heh I just got around to playing the Dawn of War demos ...all 3 of them ..I'll probably pick one up ...so once I'm done with Tablet Pasta beta and the Age of Conan beta I'll have time for the Overlord demo ..me likes cuz I get to play evil ..I like playing evil ..but can you do truely do "evil" things or is more like "dastardly" things which isnt quite so evil ..I mean ripping out the hearts of my still living victems? virgin sacrifice? ...setting people on fire is nice but I want to impale someone, or stick his head in my belt ...in game of course

they should make a game where you're evil ..and not just run of the mill evil ..but like evil evil ...little children scream at the very sight of you, black cats screech at you, your fearsome visage makes the toughest brawler knees tremble in fear ..when you enter the battlefield the very gods tremble ..heh I'm getting ahead of myself


ok picture this ..you're a white suit wearing crazy evangelical preacher with dual silver shooters walking through an apocolyptic setting dispatching anyone wjho gets in the way with EXTREME prejudice all the while laughing manically and spewing fire and brimstone in biblical form:

no really someone should make something along those lines ...everyone wants to be a colonel sanders type crazy man with a texas drawl carrying a platinum shotgun and a throwing axe (for babies who try to crawl away)

You should give it a play, seeing the minions in action is something to behold It really doesn't let you be very eveil though Like, you have to save some peasant's farm. Yeah, you can kill him afterwards. But you still have to save it. It'd be better if it was really open, like Oblivion or Fable or something. Still, in my eyes the minions totally redeem it

Also: DEKSTAR!!!! \o/
