Isn't it called elk in scandinavia and moose in Canada? Or is elk english english and moose american english? Anyway, I've been in a car that hit a moose/elk, but not hit one myself... The elk/moose was totally smashed, but the car was alright, one of the lights went, though.

In the US it goes:

But apparently in Europe moose are called elk and elk are known as red deer.
