Own Team Disguises

Has anybody effectively used them yet? I'm talking about disguising as your color. The only use I've thought of is maybe disguising as a Pyro or Heavy to scare someone away when you're in a tight spot.

You can use them as a distraction maybe. I doubt they would ever come into play in a pub.

I've been NOT disguised as an enemy, and they would run by me like I'm part of their team.....weird.

Other than that, no.

I use them to avoid alerting the other team that I'm on the way over - saves having to cloak. 2fort, for example - run out of my base as own-team Scout, drop into the water, get out of sight, switch disguises, get into enemy base, and still have full cloak left in case I need it.

Wait what? how do you disguise yourself as another class of your own team? me confused..

A friend of mine pulled it off in an organized game - he disguised as a pyro, ran from about 4 defenders, went around a corner and cloaked, the enemy team was like "wtf?" and then he grabbed the flag and got all the way to our base with it before dying :D

I havn't, because:

-By the time i've seen an enemy, i don't have time to disguise.
-In 2fort, my fav. map, i can disguise, go invisble, and become visible again in the corridoor.

I must admit I've not found a use for it yet, I guess it's possible maybe to cause a distraction amongst an enemy team.

"OMG!!! Heavy Outside our spawn!!!" :E

I know i just posted in the other thread with this exact same name and post, but dang I've got to try that trick.

If you disguise yourself as a another class on your team at the start of the round the other team won't realize your a spy until you slip up and they see you or you kill someone.

Still seems a touch weird as a tactic. I can only see the point of changing if it means you can intimidate the opposition by suiting up as a pyro of HWG when taking a point.
