Naw...it's because they're on that damnable X-box all the time, so they don't know how to use Photoshop.JHD536 said:I don't recall seeing any pics at Bungie.net showing Gordon with an energy sword in his back, maybe that's because they have better things to do than obsess over another game.
They are predisposed to hate any game with the name Halo on it. If Half-Life 2 came out under the name "Halo", they would hate it with a passion. It has nothing to do with the quality of the game.JHD536 said:I just find it rather funny that so many people who play HL2 keep trying to make pics of Freeman killing MC, it's like some sort of complex that they just have to prove they are better, but are in fact just jealous. It's like the X-Box fanboys saying "OMG GayCube SUXXX!" and the PS2 fanboys saying "X-Box sucks! Oversized paperweight!"
Halo has some fantastic fanart, but they just stick to Halo, not HL2.
Maybe it's the fact that Halo 2's release stomped all over game release records.
Whatever, this will either turn into some crappy flame war or fizzle out...

And I seem to sense somebody who is apparently caring too much. Dude honestly, if you have problems with fanboys, its simple, ignore em. Its really not a hard concept to grasp.JHD536 said:Reminds me of Battle.net when westwood was still around.
And that's a BAD thing.
It's sad that everyone here is as open minded as a mob of fanboys...
I'm sensing jealousy more than anything, otherwise people wouldn't care. You can say all you want, but it's true.
(Edit)Wait, I know! It's Red vs Blue! HL2 doesn't have anything that comes close, it's Caboose envy!
JHD536 said:No, I don't care a whole lot, I'm just curious as to why the HL2 crowd is so obsessed with Halo when the Halo crowd doesn't care at all about HL2.

Tantalus said:Since when is HL2 obsessed with Halo? The difference is, HL2 fans have more creativity, a better sense of humor, and too much spare time.
Granted, some good points there.JHD536 said:I think the only truth there was the last part. It's like battle.net around here. And tell that lack of creativity to the RvB team, I don't recall any HL2 fans getting that much fame from just using an unmodified game and a microphone.
This is basically what I see when people here talk about Halo:
"OMG Halo sucks!"
"Why"
"Because MC is gay!!! omg!"
You get no real responses, just immature gibberish. Atleast the Halo community has better things to do than make pic after pic of a Warthog parked on Freeman's corpse or Freeman with a Plasma Grenade stuck to his face.
I can only believe it's because of jealousy, otherwise nobody would even bother. Either that or they would expand their "just for fun" pictures to something other than just variants of MC being killed by Freeman. It's just kinda sad...
Meh, it's late, but I've had 2 Cokes in the last half hour and I'm on a sugar rush...
(edit)
No, it's not one sided, but such things are ALOT more prolific on the HL2 side than the Halo side. Of course there will always be people arguing over which game is better, but I just find it odd that people are still so obsessed over a single character from a video game. Also, I'm judging this from the primary game fan sites (HBrg and HL2.net). I'm not even gonna touch GameFAQs, they are all idiots there.
