Do we really need this crap? It seems that people are jealous of Halo, otherwise they wouldn't bother with the pics of Freeman killing MC.

I don't recall seeing any pics at Bungie.net showing Gordon with an energy sword in his back, maybe that's because they have better things to do than obsess over another game.

You should have put a reflection of Gordon on the helmet, holding the crowbar.
 
I just find it rather funny that so many people who play HL2 keep trying to make pics of Freeman killing MC, it's like some sort of complex that they just have to prove they are better, but are in fact just jealous. It's like the X-Box fanboys saying "OMG GayCube SUXXX!" and the PS2 fanboys saying "X-Box sucks! Oversized paperweight!"

Halo has some fantastic fanart, but they just stick to Halo, not HL2.

Maybe it's the fact that Halo 2's release stomped all over game release records.

Whatever, this will either turn into some crappy flame war or fizzle out...

Naw...it's because they're on that damnable X-box all the time, so they don't know how to use Photoshop.

They are predisposed to hate any game with the name Halo on it. If Half-Life 2 came out under the name "Halo", they would hate it with a passion. It has nothing to do with the quality of the game.

Or, perhaps because they were annoyed at Halo 2 stealing some of the FPS limelight. Though with the massive hype they had for Halo 2, the massive sales at release isn't too surprising. I'm just a bit annoyed the marketing department had to make their part of the hype so misleading...

Anyway, I'm a fan of both Halo and Half Life. Yes, I can see the 'humour' behind all of this, and if it's just meant in good fun, I don't really mind it. And JHD536, I have seen Halo fans make similar things to this in regard to Half Life, so it isn't an exclusive thing to this particular side of the fence. There are always going to be people like that, when opinions collide...
 
There will be people, yes, but I notice that there are alot more here for Half-Life than there(HBO, Bungie.net, etc) for Halo.

It's just that the Halo audience sticks to being fans of Halo, but the people here stick to being haters of Halo and not fans of Half-Life.
 
Damn, relax everybody. I just like messing with my own screenshots. And damnit all I thought it was funny. I enjoy the little war between the uber-games. I think they're both great!

1) a HL2 fanboy
2) a Halo 2 Fanboy
3) A person with a sense of humor and have respect for difference of opinions..else see 1) & 2)

heh...its true, played halo 2 and wasnt impressed. The only reason halo2 "stomped" on anything is cuase they have a built in cult following that could be sold dog crap in a sandwich baggy and would swear up and down that its the best thing in exsistance. But thats my opinion.
 
For the record, I think my only crime was using the Dell kid.

Both are fun. Both are too short.

And I seem to sense somebody who is apparently caring too much. Dude honestly, if you have problems with fanboys, its simple, ignore em. Its really not a hard concept to grasp.

I've been a bungie fan since the Marathon days, some of the best FPS's ever IMHO. I liked the original Halo a lot. I thought it was a great game. But then, they came out with Halo 2, and seriously, to me, its not fun at all. Half Life 2 IS tons of fun. Thats all I need to know when I go to sleep. Trust me, I understand opinions that people have on these boards, and I have no problem with opinion. But you seem to be making a big deal out of something you won't be able to change, peoples opinions (fanboys or not). I can almost assure you most people aren't very jealous of Halo2 at all, I'm not.

Ultimately, I could care less if Halo2 does better then HL2. If people choose to bash Halo2 on here, don't be surprised (which you seem to be). Get used to it.

Since when is HL2 obsessed with Halo? The difference is, HL2 fans have more creativity, a better sense of humor, and too much spare time.

Thats the problem. The Halo crowd DOES bash HL2. It does happen on both sides. I'd throw you some links if I had some, but I don't make it a habit to bookmark flame wars.

You make it seem one sided. Since when was any single thing one sided? Never.

I think the only truth there was the last part. It's like battle.net around here. And tell that lack of creativity to the RvB team, I don't recall any HL2 fans getting that much fame from just using an unmodified game and a microphone.

Granted, some good points there.

On the other hand, if you want I can put up some links to other forums depciting how immature and idiotic people are, but I'm going to assume there won't be a need for that. Forums will always be like this, some worse, some better, but thats just how it is.

Excuse me, MC < GF, simply because GF knows Theoretical Physics. All MC can do is break stuff.

I enjoyed Halo 2, although in my honest opinion it was nowhere near as good as Halo 1. I thought that Half Life 2 was a very satisfying sequel, improving on Half Life 1 but still sticking to what made it great. I would probably say I am a Half Life fanboy, but I still enjoy a good bash on XBox Live Halo 2 with my brother from time to time.

Back on topic, some nice pics. I liked the "CS Owns Halo" one, made me chuckle.
 
Yeah, but you can see Master Chief when he gets in a vehicle in multiplayer.
