I just installed it and i click on the desktop icon to start the game and i get this shit - the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.

what the hell is the problem?!?!

i played the demos and they were awesome and the game itself got great reviews. and i have to patch it for the game to work? what the hell is that?

lol with your pc its normal when some games wont run on it, you got a future computer.

I tried the full game (mate's copy) and got stuck on the third level. Any other game I would've tried again or even looked up a walkthrough but it really wasn't worth it. Painkiller in a nutshell: The worst arcade shoot-em-up you've ever played in FPS form.

Did you try uninstalling then reinstalling? If that doesn't work then ask Techincal Support for that game.

The game has worked fine for me since I got it. Even before I installed the patch. Sounds like Painkiller has some strange compatability issues
