Do they work for you?

I'm on the strongest painkillers you can get and it's not getting rid of it at all. I feel like I'm drunk, and to be fair, in this state I don't give a flying fig about the pain but it's still there.

Serves me right I guess for throwing myself unintentionally off a step at work.

Last time I had a migraine, I threw my guts up, took some ibuprofen, passed out for two hours, and woke up to erg two kilometers which I somehow managed to get a personal record on. I think I'll use painkillers whenever I erg from now on.

And yes, they work fantastically. Except robaxisal.

wtf is erg

Also, painkillers never seem to do much for me. At least, not the "extra strength Tylenol"

Methinks its all a load of crap.

Painkillers work great for me. If they aren't working well, you're taking the wrong one or something. They do different things.

I almost always use Ibuprofen (Advil) for pain and headaches. It works to dull the pain at least. But for migraines they don't seem to work. I think you are supposed to use Acetaminophen (Tylenol).

Painkillers, alcohol, caffeine, etc. don't work on me. Alcohol is slightly more effective, though.

I realized painkillers and the things they give you to knock you out during surgery doesn't work at the doctors, lol.

The nurse was all "Doctor, I think he's awake" and the doctor was "Meh. Won't kill him." and I was "ASARARAFARARRRRGAGAHFFFFFF" (And had to endure the endoscope being forced down my throat, despite reassurance that I'll be sleeping soon. Which I never did.)

I enjoy a mixture of ibuprofen and paracetamol.

Also vicodin to get me through those tough days at work!

Also morphine

yeaqaha ketmanien too its pettry great manb

Ibuprofen usually proves effective.

Also valium. ^_^

Never been in the kind of pain that requires killers.

Oh god, my brother just got his wisdom teeth pulled, and they had him on some heavy ass painkillers. I was just completely messing with him the entire time. It was hilarious.

Yes, they work well in L4D.

True that. Whenever I play, I knock them back like they're going out of fashion. I'm beginning to think that the zombies can sense that I'm fairly new to gaming so prey on me.

for sharp pain they dont work, just make you high so you dont notice as much.

for dull throbbing pain i like oxys or percocets best

Never needed to take strong painkillers before. If anything, just some tylenol.

sometimes works just as good tbh. Some terrible pains respond well to tylenol (APAP) while some pains arent so bad but tylenol does nothing, and you need a narcotic painkiller to relieve.

Not sure why, I'm not a doctor, but one of those funky body things Ive learned.

What are you taking and where is the pain ?. If its a neurological issue painkillers might not work.

Solpadol and it's my ankle. Fell off a step in work but to be fair, I don't even know what happened, I just went from vertical to horizontal in no time at all. The doctor at A&E said it would've been better if I'd broken the damn thing.

I was on Codeine a while back. Shit was weird.

also since when can we say shit?

They work for me pretty well. I usually do 4 ibuprofen when I have a headache and I'm OK. Unless I get one of those really horrible "Bottom of neck -> temple throbbing headaches"...then I just drink a lot of water.

a couple Vicodin and a glass of scotch and see ya later. it's the only plus side of being injured/in pain
