Paintball anyone?

just want to see what people on here play. re-ball? (eg playing in woods, at a local site paying to play etc), or tourney ball?

just curious as this sport has such a bad image its unbelievable. lack of advertising, and people's views mean the sport can all but slowly grow. if people knew what its like to take the step from re-ball to tourney ball...god it could become become more popluar than football...mind you in the UK that could be impossible..ahem.

just wanted to see what your views all are. should paintball grow with help from TV and sporting events? its trying to get into the olympics as a sort of side sport, ie one thats shown but isnt actually part of the olympics yet. if so then it could be a huge step in the sport's right direction.

people's views of paintball are stag does, fat office men and kids getting dressed in camo, going into the woods and shooting each other...

do the images below look remotely like that???? they show that tourney ball is JUST AS BIG AS ANY OTHER SPORT!!! why cant people see that??????

as you can see, its slightly different to a shoot about in the woods....
these pics are the type of paintball i personally am into. yeah its expensive but a sport is a sport, and i absolutely love it.

Cool pics, I love paintball, specially when you have a good team that understand how important strategy is in this game. To bad its quite expensive and Mexiacans are not verry sportive.

Never been, but then the opportunity never realy came up. Hitting my friends with small, stinging pellets sounds like it would be fun, though.

I think alot of people on here paintball though, I think SHIPPI does.

paintball is great and you can get good tactics but it can be subjective at times...Sometimes balls dont burst and sometimes people get away with wiping the paint off. But it would be great to see tournys.

And as stated above, it is a pity that its very expensive!

Its expensive when you don't have your own marker and kit....

And your own marker and kit is very expensive..


Thats probably why its not so popular. That said I still plan to get more heavily involved. I was bought a paintball pistol a while ago.... love it!

I love paintball I dont have my own marker anymore, I dropped it in the mud and someone ran over it while i was playing, I savaged the barrel and the trigger but the hopper go smashed and the resto f the marker was hopeless. now i play a lot of airsoft.

Went paintballing for my 13th birthday with my sister and a few mates. Was the funnest day EVER. I want to go again this year (16th birthday), but it might still be too expensive. We went to heatherton paintballing and spent upwards of £500 in one session

re-ball IS woodsball aswell. its the same thing really. bunch of mates in make-shift scenarios in the woods, around buildings etc. slow paced, slow firing paintball...

tourney ball = 14 people on the field shooting 15 balls per second each...VERY FAST PACED :E

It's a blast, but expensive if you don't have your own shit. Just to buy paint so you can play begins to add up. Last time I went we spent like $100 in paint for one day.

Fun as hell, tho.

Played once. Loved it, but too darn expensive (I think my college didn't do much research into the proper site).

It was amazing how many people tried to aim for my hands rather than my torso.

I would really like to try those replica guns that the SAS use to train with
