PARIAH Single Player

I just bought the latest Maximum PC Mag and it had Pariah as a single player demo.

My thoughts are, its a great game Good gameplay great ragdolls and destructable biuldings are a plus. The only Negative thing is there werent that many weapons to try out just a machine gun and a grenade launcher. but i liked it. Definatly not a Hl2 killer but close.. NOT.


Basicly its one of those games you play 1 or twice and then trade in .

Here is a screenshot taken with 1200X1600 and everything set to very high it looks good. and i was still able to run the game at 70+ fps

No, its a single player demo of 1 outdoor level

There is another thread about MP Pariah and they are soooo negative maybe they have S####y computers. IMO

Or maybe they have different tastes?
Besides, even on full the graphics in Pariah aren't that great. The textures are horrible, the physics suck and all-round the game looks like Halo 2 merged with an Unreal Tournament game.

AA doesn't work in Pariah. It's even chunkier than UT and the weapon models/sounds suck. And I was looking forward to it too

any1 find the crosshair annoying,the giant circle?woula prefered the normal crosshairs ala hl2,they coulda included a option atleast

So far you're the only person I know of who liked the singleplayer demo. This game is going to bomb big time.

Yes agreed. I hate those kinds of crosshairs, typical console crosshair. They could have at least added a freaking dot in the crosshair so you know where you are aiming.

exactly,the bulldog was virtually useless if an enemy was more than 5 feet away as 1)the were no indications on where your bullets were hitting(no dirt kickup etc) and 2)the crosshair had no centre point

I liked the SP demo also but mostly because it is free. I would not pay full price for this! The graphics are below average, the physics are not used well and you always have to duck down to gain enough accuracy to hit someone until you upgrade your weapon with stabilization.

I love Pariah, and I had absolutely no excitement towards this game prior to the demo, I really think the Front Line mode is kickass w/ the upgrading and shat, cool stuff.

Bleh, the SP demo sucked so bad Levels are so linear! The destructible buildings weren't that impressive, it was just concrete that gets destroyed after certain ammount of damage, and only in a select few areas, and it just reveals metal underneath, and it's the same thing for every concrete. No variation.

The AI was terrible I though. Sure it did the usual things you expect, like hide behind cover, but otherwise they just sorta stood there and fired at you, and didn't use like team tactics. I even put the skill level and the maximum, and of course it just has higher hitpoints, and higher damage. No change in the actual AI to make it tougher.

Bleh, this game will probably sell decent on XBox. I doubt it will do good for the PC though.

how do you upgrade your weapons in the mp demo?i collected loadsa those cores

you need to open the weapons menu and choose wich weapon to upgrade...
