Red Dawn was great when I was a kid. however after watching it as an adult it's quite clear it's actually a reagan era scare mongering NRA/Conservative fap fest ..still enjoyable but I cant watch that scene with the russian/cuban general guy taking a gun from the a dead american civilian and then panning to an NRA bumper sticker with Chuck Heston's slogan "not from my dead cold hands"; it just makes me roll my eyes till I pass out ...anyways didnt like swayze in that film all that much. never much cared for any of his movies, he just wasnt very believeable as a tough guy. Hell I barely remembered he was in Point break even though I loved that movie and have seen it multiple times

anyways sucks that he died but so do other people every day of the same disease
