Here's my shopping cart.

GTA: VC - $1
Hitman Trilogy - $13.25
Lost Planet - Extreme Condition (Colonies Edition) - $9.97

GTA: 4 - $13.99
Prince of Persia - 6.99
Stalker - Clear Sky - 8.99

8 games - total comes to about $55. What are some other games I can get for really cheap?

Oh yeah, let me order that now. Pay whatever you want. All games should be this price. :D

What about Mirror's Edge. I wonder where can I get that for cheap.

I only buy games on disc though (except Crayon Physics Deluxe), so I don't want the D2D version.

Is Titan Quest any good? It's like $5

I'm going to wait on The Witcher for now, until it's even cheaper. I won't have time to play all these right now anyway, as I've got my hands full with the games I already own.

1) I really didn't care much for Mirrors Edge. I liked the running on the rooftops part, but the rest was meh for me.

2) Titans Quest is an excellent game. Decent story & pretty long as well. Set in a Greek mythology type setting. The game gets even better if you get the Immortal Throne, expansion, which adds a lot of new content. If you enjoyed games like Diablo 2 or Dungeon Siege 2, you'll like Titans Quest.

Titans Quest + Expansion = $11

3) Lost planet is fun. Boss battles are enjoyable, as is the general survival theme. You need to kill enemies, which drop thermal energy you collect to power your own survival suit.

I agree, from what I played Titan Quest was very fun.

I rarely buy anything online except through Steam, but the best physical place I know of to get cheap boxed games is Half Price Books. I've only been to the Austin and Houston locations but they often have decent games for cheap, usually $6 or less if it's 3+ years old, or $10-$20 if it's a more recent, popular game. These prices are for new boxes too (in fact, they usually have more new boxes than used games in stock). I vaguely recall seeing new boxes of Mirrors Edge for $5-$10 when I went around Christmas time. They had Prey for something like $5-$6, Defcon for $5, and Penumbra for ~$5. They also seem to have a lot of old copies of Total Annihilation everywhere. Of course, the selection probably depends on the location you go to, but it's worth checking out if there's one nearby. If you want a really specific game, they might check if it's there if you call and ask (I used to call about books a lot when I needed them for high school classes). And if you sign up for their email list, they send like 5 emails a year, a few of which have 20-50% off coupons.

And I realize it sounds like I work for Half Price Books, but I don't. I only wish I did :P.

[edit] As a disclaimer, I just now remembered going there one time and not seeing any games of interest, so the quality of their stock kinda fluctuates...

Ah, we don't have Half Price Books here. Just as well though, except for groceries, I don't really shop retail any more. The prices are ridiculous, and I have to drive a ways. PC game selection is very poor around here as well.

Nice, thanks. I'll check them out. 'Starting at' 99 cents.

Definitely get Mirrors Edge if you can get it cheap. A very unique game. And I really liked it.

But you're a dog. You could get a million thrills from a stick or ball.

Oh, that never gets old, you shut up.
