PC gamer has first US review as an exclusive?

but I think pc gamer has the exclusive first US review.. they have "and if we should happen to have yet another barn burning exclusive announcement... well, don't be too shocked" in there next month box..


probably been posted, so close this if it has :D
 
any one know when the next issue of pcgamer (america) comes out? ive been cheking my box for about the last week now and havnt gotten anything.
 
I have the november issue and thats what the next month box says.. sounds like late oct. to mid nov. is the date we will all have the full scoop on hl2 (in the us anyway)

by the end of october.. hl2 will be unleashed

Looks like the US got the exclusive once more, what a surprise. In a few days HL2 guys! :cheese:
 
... im astonished.. it feels so surreal.. hl2 is done.. the press has it, we are waiting on vivendi now -fingers crossed-... I cant believe it...

You mean the one after the Quake 4 issue? That one just came out this past week, so the issue with the possible HL2 review won't be out for several weeks.

I just said that, that is what this thread is about :)............ argh IM SO EXCITED -BONER-!!!!!!!!!! e-penis = maximum overload. I must go nap to relieve the tension and think of ideas for the mod project I am starting.
 
Although, to add to the paranoia (it's fun to watch) the reviewer came back as a crying wreck, that's a bad thing right? :burp:
 
yeah what if he is a wreck because it was worse then catwoman for ps2 and he wasted so much energy wriiting articles and every tidbit of news that came out for it.... poor guy

The next one will come out to subscribers within the first two weeks of October.

"Our UK exclusive features eight pages on the biggest game ever to hit the PC. We've toyed with the gravity gun, gone toe-to-toe with the Overwatch, and watched in awe as the Striders strut." Hmmm...

Update - This is indeed confirmed, as PC Gamer (US) was cool enough to send over an image of the PC Gamer US Half-Life 2 cover. Expect the PC Gamer issue to hit newstands this week. Just to clarify, that shot is from the US PC Gamer (grin).

Nah that can be considered tears of joy, and amazement. They would never get teary eyed over trashwares. In fact they would have lambasted valve.

It did for me too, at first. Then I noticed the date. December, 2004. That means it won't come out October or November!

No, you're wrong. It comes out next month. That's just the way the publishing schedule works. The currrent issue is November. They have a special issue as well as a holiday issue at the end of the year.
 
Woohoo, the US issue is coming out within the week Im gonna be checkin the mailbox everyday. :bounce:

haha, way too many people take pot shots at Doom3. Sure, it lacked a storyline. But those were great graphics.

Well, the game is done... we know that. And the most popular pc magazine is review it. I'll be astonished if it isn't released within the next six weeks. Vivendi will never be able to redeem themselves if PC Gamer is reviewing it and it doesn't come out.

that happened with condition zero, granted, that wasn't as big of a game as HL2
 
Yes but CZ was based on a five year old engine and fell off a lot of people's radars. HL2 is still very much THE GAME this year... perhaps even moreso since Doom III was so lackluster (IMO anyway). It would just make Vivendi look too horrible. They're stupid, but they can't be that stupid. At least we hope...
 
Did you guys not read the voodooextreme article about the US version of PC gamer. IT says it is hitting stands THIS WEEK!!! Did you hear me??? THIS WEEK!!!... Go check the article.
