PCZone UK Confirms 30th Sept

For what its worth they asked Valve recently and asked people - think Doug Lombardi? and others - and it was confirmed for a definte 30th September release - they asked 4 times!

Hope that means UK aswell

Plus no link - as it is a print magazine!

Ah, never even heard of that mag...print does seem to be a little more discerning than some websites though.
 
It's in the magazine :)

They also state on the last page they will be reviewing HL2 in the next issue.

Gooch, the only thing he'd be able to link to is scanned pictures, which is illegal and could get HL2.Net into trouble. Just like links to warez etc.

They probably got that info at ECTS, which is info we've already heard about, which is becoming more and more doubtful by the day.

I did scan it three days ago, and post the four pages in her but abom-nation closed it.

I mean press confrence and all. Remember when somone form vivendi said it was delayed for sure? Im looking for a offical annoucement. Poor old Doug could be being lectured as we post for making promises that might not follow through. All we can do is hope.
 
I think we all need relax and let it come out when its done. Would you rather have ot on the 30th, but every time you get 10mins into it you get a blue sceen or a CTD? Or would you rather wait a month, and have no serious problems>?
 
I'd assume they've ironed out the game-killing probs by now though. At least, we hope.
 
He did say this I've got the mag but it was at the beginning of September. Doug has since said it will be delayed at a trade show in LA.
 
Yeah, but thats true of any game, ever. Can't expect them to nail everyone.
And since when did they EVER confirm a delay?

chill guys, hl2 is completed and they're going through testing stages.
hopefully they could fix as many bugs as possible til sept 30th comes around :cheers:

Thats clever asking him to do something illegal and confirming its illegal in the same sentance... Just to make sure you cant pretend u didnt know it was illegal... Hehe :cool:

Its probably going to be easier for them to hide any bugs that might be in the game after its been released. You are probably going to need to connect to steam while installing. So if you have the retail version it would have had to go gold a few days earlier (at least) which means they may have discovered and fixed more bugs. So you log onto steam while installing and it unknowingly patches those bugs for you.
