The retail release may not be for a couple days -if that- after 9/30. But from what I heard, most stores will probably receieve it same day as it's released on Steam - depending on where you live it may take a few days after.

Magazines are black holesm they try to suck in everyone to them, magazines are milkers of milk and senssationalised on many aspects, it is their sole purpose to get the readers, mor ethan competition x magazine therefore stating an "EXCLUSIVE" review means nothing more than PCZone will have a review and as pczone magazine comes out before pcgamer for example (mor etimes than none) this is teh case until a week or two later pcgamer comes out with the same game reviewed.

It is coming on the 30th and pcz will have the first review on shelves to buy as usual, this is nothing new it is all tactics in the media induudtry. It's what it's all about.

It's in the Magazine that came out Friday, I spotted this article to. Although they where told not to ask before the interview they did repeatedly and where always told 30th september.

Nothing new though Valve have always said that when pressed.

Valve keeps saying this. That article was an interview with Gabe, he always said 30th September he still does.

Guess we just have to wait and see, the earliest we will see it in the UK is the Friday anyway, games don't get released on a Tuesday here.

In the article the authour says that he caught up with Doug Lombardi at ECTS, where Doug publicly confirmed the 30th anyways. So this news isn't anymore up-to-date than what Eurogamer posted weeks ago.
