People dont like Hl2's ending

I disagree,
they were master piece, (they were confusing)

any way the point is that HL2 is a great game why should the end be crap or dissapointing

:sniper: :sniper:

It was just my opinion. :smoking:

As long as games have been around people have always complained about "weak" endings.... every single game. Even if you can think of a game you thought had a great ending there are hordes of gamers who think otherwise.

When it comes to teh intarweb, you have to remember everyones a critic.

I have been a bit upset at the reviewers attitude towards hl2's ending....WHAT THE HELL DO THEY EXPECT FROM THE ENDING UH? i dont get it, these idiots say it was an awesome game but weak ending-PLEASE DEFINE WEAK ENDING!!! i bet everyone of you hl players out there will absoloutely love the ending to hl2 and by the way, dont these fricking idiot reviewers know that there will be a halflife 3? have they somehow forgoten this rather important part of imformation? ofocurse hl2 will not have a specctacualr ending!

I'm detecting massive amounts of misguided fanboyism on the rampage.

none have you people have actually seen the ending, so quit saying that you have....

The whole game is good. The ending left me slack jawed and in awe, while a while earlier when the final area started, I was giggling "like a little school girl." This game will own you, don't worry - it's good enough that (like the origional HL) anything negative about the game is just nitpicking.

I think someone's played the illegal version. Tut tut :p

Its probably like a soap, anti climax at end, have to wait for next episode to find out what happened

I liked half life 2s ending, reviewers should get a grip of themselves

Im confused- have you played half-life 2?

All movie/videogame endings are played out, but it's the way they are executed that makes them special.

I loved the ending of Max Payne 1. When i first attempted it, i lost because i had no idea how to kill that woman. It wasnt simply a "shoot her enuff times and she'll be dead" ending, instead it was a cut some ropes, knock over an antenna and watch it smash up her airvehicle. We didnt actually shoot the endboss at all. It was fantastic for me at the time, and then Max at the ending spouting his metaphorical bull was truly amazing for me at the time.

Also, Halo's ending. I throughly detested the game as a whole, but found the ending (driving that buggy out of the airvehicle) ****ing amazing and exciting.

I've heard it said that it is Breen who is our endboss and that we'll defeat him cos we're a better scientist than he.

What the hell would that involve!

they are just giving honest criticism. without that things would be really sucky and nobody would learn.

the thing i love about half life and half life 2, is that there is a big gaping hole of information between the two, and inside the games themself. You can guess what happened, fantasize yourself about everything, and what's what. For example: City 17, what is it? You can think about that yourself! A eastern Europe city? Kiev? Odessa? Minsk? Valve has done that pretty well

He will slaughter us with his army of undead threads!

Um, try to look at the most recent post date in future...this is the greatest feat of resurrection I've seen in a while.

For what it's worth: I agree with your point.

just because it was a surprise doesnt make it good. you dont think "wow the ending of hl1 has to be one of the best game endings ever!" do you?
I do :), seriously, the ending kicks ass, the first game was, "be my tool or die", and the second one clearly tells you that whatever you do, your still a tool, your not free, your enslaved wich is also the undertone trough the whole game, slavery, so this leaves you wondering, are you a hero or a slave or another puppet, and what will the cause I fight for be? good? .. evil?
