It depends on the game, but I'll generally use both. I don't discriminate! It's another character to play the game with, offering something new.

This. In BG2 I'm playing a male, but in Mass Effect I went female Shepard as Jennifer Hale does a much better voice than the male imo, esp as renegade.

OK, here's an example of a game where after finishing the game with a male, I created a female character: Oblivion character creation + nude mod.

Pretty cool, man. I don't think it's perverted to admire the female form.

I sometimes play opposite gender charectors simply for their stat bonuses. Male - Warrior/Close Combat, Female - Mage/Agent/Thief/Summoner or whatever.
