"per-pixel hit accuracy" sounds cool

You're not as bad as you think you are. In fact for only 2 years of learning you speak excellent English. Congrats :) And remember, everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes the people who speak English as their mother tongue make more spelling and grammatical mistakes than you or me. I'm Belgian, and we're like the only people in Europe to consider learning a language as an enrichment of yourself. We (Belgians) can generally speak Dutch, French, English, German and sometimes Spanish or Italian.

thx for your complement. People in my school said that too. I live in canada which is multi-culture nation, I must learn to speak at least two languages in order to intergrate into the society.

Cool =) Do you got MSN Messenger? I can post an early demo, hehe (Acoustic, recorded with a headset=)

Yeah, per-pixel owns. Too bad Doom 3 multiplayer won't have much players. Can't wait for Quake 4.

I hope HL2 will have that "per-pixel"-thing, because that would eliminate the hitbox problems!=)

So would per vertex using high poly hitboxes. Which probably would be much faster than per pixel.

^^ there are no hitbox problems, what makes you think that? just because you empty a clip at point blank range in someone's head without scoring a single hit doesn't mean there's a problem... "it's probably your aim!" lol :)

I remember in the cs betas crouching caused the bug to avoid headshots. It was frustrating.

:eek: ooops i'm Belgian so my Dutch is alot better ;)

For an FPS game i think you don't need seperated ear damage and head damage, when will you be able to hit the ear when running around in a shooter game..look at some doom DM pics for ex. ... models are good but not so detailed you could probably shoot of ears...that's like way to much asking of a game.. when you hit the ear you won't see any difference between ear and head shot mostly

That's why the doom3 demons have no ears ...and the zombie ones their ears fell off i assume :D

head torso(those can be combined) leg and arms with diffrent hit -damage values is already enough

PS:Also cool could be like a torso armor, and then like a force field armor that protects the whole body(kinda like, what the HIV suit did in HL1 for hazardous environments)..helmets are alerady used in rtcw for head armor

Cool, the invasion of the Belgians.
Yo-Han:van waar zijde?
@bel:Jep, alles goed hier :)

if they are going to make a game called sharp shooter, top hitman, top whatever, one of the mission ask u to simply damage someone's ear without kill him, then u will aim at his ear with sniper. per-pixel will be good there. maybe i just watch too much hitman movies. I like "ennemies at the gate".

We really should copyright/trademark/whatever our ideas, some wannabe game dev might be on here trying to steal our ideas ;)

I don't mind paying and playing a game which is based on my idea, in fact i'm even glad to see that game dev can make my idea into real. I used to think of making games for my career, but i realize that enjoying games is even better. u know, it's like people like massage, but they like to massage themselve with their hands.
