Did Jesus live between 1001 and 2000? No... and that should be obvious considering that we started our calendar within a few years of his death. Unless he snuck back to play ski-ball without us knowing, he doesn't qualify. No Limit said:If I had to say someone I would say Jesus for the most obvious reason. You might not agree with religion, you might not believe he even existed but real or not he did have most influance on our world in the last millenium, both good and bad.

i remeber it was a hot issue in 2000, when one of the megazines named hitler as a persona of the millenoium, but i agree with you, he probobly was the most influensialCons Himself said:im going to go out on a limb here, but if were talking the most influential (and not greatest because this man was the epitome of evil).
the most influential: Hitler.
let me explain. Hitler started WW2 and WW2 has been the definitive turning point in history over the last 1000 years.
WW2 gave birth to, in one way or another:
American Industrial-Military Machine
It brought many inventions to modern science - the jet engine, the atomic bomb.
American Interventionism
Perhaps most importantly: the growing strength of the Labour movement and successful Social-Democratic government.
WW2 did away with the last vestiges of European Imperialism, and led to the emergence of many new countries.
It was the most destructive and terrible conflict in human history, and we humans tend to define ourselves with our Science, and our Conflicts.
WW2 led to the end of conflicts in Europe, the most war-torn continent in history.
if i can think of anymore ill edit

American Interventionism also in the first world war
The growing strength of the Labour movement and successful Social-Democratic government had allready gained a lot of strength before ww1
But to add to your points,
*the severity and length cold war was an indirect result of WW2, which also shaped the current policy of the US to keep bases around the globe and interfere more with other countries.
*Israel
*Razism sufford a blow because of him, cause racist would be directly be compared to the enemy of the world.
