Pets?

i saw him a few days ago and remember thinking "hmm hes familiar" so yes, i did just notice who he was.

I have a Mini Rex rabbit.

Hmm... in the past I've had tadpoles (that's kids for you), gerbils, and a guinea pig, but currently my only pets are two Chilean Rose tarantulas. They live a damn long time, and despite being neglected* continue to eat things and lumber about.

*Note for arachnid rights activists: that's not true. Don't hunt me down and stab me. Tarantulas can go without food for months, literally, although they don't object to frequent meals.
 
4 yr old dog, cross between black retriever and either border collie or doberman ...dont know, he was a rescue dog
 
Oops forgot to add, I might be getting a blue pink-toed tarantula soon and a red trap door spider, once the shop here gets em in.
 
i have a pure siamese cat that is very bitchy. and she pukes on the top of my car. but she is the most intelligent cat ive had.

No, seriously, spiders are pretty interesting imo.
 
Spiders invade my room every summer, it's getting pretty annoying.

Once I got so tired I smashed a spider with a news-paper so it got splattered on the floor with organs around it... Tasty.

i had a rescue dog one, a shar pei. bastard almost bit my hand clean off....

just a few scars as it is.

sorry should have clarified ...a rescued dog. He was born into a puppy mill that had deplorable conditions

Shar -pei's can be unpredicatable
gotta watch your dog doesnt bite you or worse yet, someone else :)

please think about adopting a cat, dont buy one ...the humane societies all over the world have to put down cats because there's not enough people adopting ..plus it's free! sometimes they'll throw in spaying or neutering for free too
 
i have 3 cats. my cats pwn. i'll send more info when i can be arsed.
 
I have 2 cats, they're Maine Coons. People thought that they were a mixture between Raccoons and Cats in the old days...
 
I have a 5 foot long Green Iguana called Sil :bounce:

Free? At my local cathome they charge 40£ for adopted cats :O

Well, it's worth it :)

ya they charge here too but that usually includes spaying/neutering ...sometimes when they have too many cats at the humane society they'll waive the usually fees and give it away for free
 
Anything special I should think of when getting a cat?

Hmm..really, I could google all my questions. But it's nicer asking real people somehow :)
 
just ask which cat breeds are suitable for you ...some are better with kids than others, but I dont know your situation ...just get one that is cute :) (heh that should narrow it down to a few thousand choices :) )
 
well i used to have 3 guinnea pigs but 2 of them escaped at the other one I started to get bored with so well i left it with my dad. Problem solved :P but i feel a little guilty now, it got eaten by a scum ferret which I missed with a garden spade.
