Phantom Deaths?

I was just flying around in one of the aircraft in Battlefield 2 (one of the USMC planes, can't remember which one). I'd been in this plane for quite a while without dieing (about three quarters of the match) when all of a sudden I begin getting death messages, you know, the kind that go "You were killed by blah blah" when I blatantly hadn't been killed because I was still flying around. I got 5 or 6 of these messages before the map ended. Has anyone else experienced these fake death messages?

I've had some fake messages period. I was a commander and out of nowhere it said, "Vote successful by default. CyberPitz has been kicked" or something like that. Obviously it iddn't work, because I was STILL commander and I was STILL in the game...that happened 1 or 2 more times before the map ended. Kind of freaky.

One time I was eating some pizza and just chatting on TS, i was completely AFK in battlefield, and yet I got constant "DreadLord1337 [Teamkills] omgpwnzultra666" etc.. I got punished for about 10 tk's while standing absolutely still in the spawn. It's a great glitch, I thoroughly enjoy it.

I'm not sure, I didn't check.

I've never seen that happen but I had a "Phantom death" a couple times. I was just flying on Kubra Dam in the US atk chopper. All of a sudden I die, the chopper spirals upwards into the air and I get a "AmishSlayer has died" message. I was nowhere near anything or anybody...

Yeah, today I got this phantom message, but I thought it was just a lagged message referring to the previous death.

I had something like that in the demo, I kept dying, I was convinced it was an admin taunting me.

I've never gotten a phantom death "message", but sometimes while in a chopper, i'll be doing some tight maneuvering through trees or something, and the games hitbox decides to expand for a few seconds, and my chopper explodes on a tree 5 feet away from it.

I shocked some people back to life a few times with it counting as a TK.
