Physgun Mod or Console Command for BlueGrav?

Lo guys...

I (and i'm sure many of you) have completed half-life 2 now, but I just can't put it down. The cheats are now on, and i'm in that mess-about stage where i'm loading the old levels and playing with the physics and stuff.

This would be seriously more fun with either the Physgun from the e3 demo, or the BlueGrav gun (i'm not saying any more about this because it would be a spoiler to those that havent finished it yet - but if you've completed it you know what im on about).

Anyone know if the physgun is available in a public patch?

Failing that, does anyone know the 'give weapon_' command for the BlueGrav gun?

As far as I can tell there isn't one, and it's a map specific weapon. The command that gives you the gravity gun is 'give weapon_physcannon' which always gives you the orange one. However, in the last levels, the same command gives the superphyscannon.

I wept too.
 
If you go to the bit where it goes all blue and powerful, like. Don't pick it up, change the map and when you impulse 101 or whatever you'll get ze blue one. A bit convoluted, sadly.
 
Got a question, anyone interested if I started working on a map, that was just there to be big and spawn losta stuff, have crates, and barrels, so you can make all the mess you'd want?
Sounds like a fun project, now that I finished the game...
Just one Q, how do you load maps via the console, because that's how you'd have to load it...
 
load ur 'Dark Energy' Level, which give u blue grav gun. then ''changelevel d1_trainstation 1'' i think it is, without ('')

then when u have loaded trainstation from dark energy level

type give weapon_physcannon, and u will get the BlueGravGun, this is not effected when u do impulse 101 either.

The gun lets u pick up combines+ larger objects
But if u kill a combine that u have not spawned ur self the body/weapon of the combine disolves.

You cannot pick up frendlies with the gun too, if u attack them with the blue grav gun it just clones them, which is quite fun and weird at the same time
 
Apparently, the d3_citadel_03 map runs a script that changes the properties of the gun.

You can check this when you pick up the blue grav gun in that level by typing 'dump_globals' in console. you will see 'super_phys_gun: d3_citadel_03' or something like that. If there was only a way to find that script and execute it from any level, we'd be set. I was doing some hex browsing...the only references for that I found were in the client.dll or server.dll, I forgot which one.

I'm not a fan of having to change levels to get it to work...there has to be a real way to get it.
