Thought you were talking about Pi Mu Rho when I saw the title.
 
So there's a bunch of fuss over whether some people want to make up a symbol for twice the value of another symbol? I fail to see either how that makes pi "wrong" or why anyone should care.

Mathematician Alexandru Ionescu at Princeton University says:
"Either one is just fine, it won't make any difference to mathematics."​
 
I've always said Pi Mu Rho was wrong.

You should hear some of the stuff he says.

It's just about picking a convention that better reflects reality. Why have a constant that counts half the turn of a circle when you could use one that does a full turn?
