along with Mario Galaxy, Zelda, and Umbrella chronicles.

I honestly have to say I had a fun with Wii, but not awesomely fun compared to my first Xbox360 experience.

The whole wiimote/nunchuck thing gets sorta tiring. I rather play Zelda with GC controller.

The only title I had fun with Wii so far was Mario Galaxy. I don't know why, but it's ****ing fun. BTW, I was never into Mario stuffs.

Honestly, I was expecting alot more from Wii, but I guess my hype towards Wii disappeared after playing it for the first time.

PS3, here I come next!

It's like all games for the wee have to be either cartoony or Zelda / Mario brothers related.

Maybe if they'd put some better hardware in it, but then again, it's insanely popular, so they probably know best.

Ok, there are a lot of really good Wii games out there right now. Super Paper Mario is one, along with Zack & Wiki, RE4, Rayman Raving Rabbids (1 & 2), Metroid Prime Corruption, Harry Potter and the OotP (imho), and many more. Those are just the ones I have and I freakin love them all. I can't wait for Okami and Dragon Quest Swords to release!!!

I heard Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is pretty good - 32 player online is pretty cool too.

I just looked into this game real quick(ign review and video clips) i'm sold, it's definately time to pick up a Wii and this game will be my first for it - of course when I get the funds and if the availability of the console permits.

You expect too much and then get disappointed, I see this way too often. Surely you could have demoed a machine in a store or at a friends house before deciding it was worth your time and money. I have one because it shuts everyone in the house up, well except one arse hat who doesn't seem to understand what the Wii is all about.

**** you. See it works both ways

I agree that once you get over the novelty of the control scheme it's a little less revolutionary, but I still find it enjoyable if not wildly innovative. Besides the motion controls it feels more like a fresh take on a traditional control scheme to me, somehow.

Edit - And yeah, Mario Galaxy is the balls. Yay 120 stars!

**** you, Luigi.

I'm finding Galaxy even more enjoyable going through the game as Luigi. Pure class :)

Give the Wii a little more time Combine Hybrid - you've only had it one day. tbh I doubt you know how good the controls can be after such a short play time. Now get a bunch of guys and gals together for a big Wii Sports session - it's still the most fun that can be had in gaming.

This man speaks the truth. The wii was designed for social occasions, especially where alcohol is involved. All my family are coming round for Xmas, so another monster marathon of Wii Sports is scheduled. :D

Yea you can't play this console without being totally wasted :p

My mother has got a wii, and the plan is to play it together come boxing day.

We got with it another controller, but don't know if we need more.
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the multiplayer of these games needs a nunchuck.

WiiSports
MarioParty
Mario Football (I think it does, I played this at a friends house)
Fifa 2008

Also, I know Mario party can be 4 player. Is it really worth getting another 2 controllers costing ALLOT of money, or can you play it just as well with 2 controllers and just swop them over for other challenges etc?

Done with the Wii already? Not too many games on the PS3 that the Xbox360 doesn't have. What ya going to get?
Could do folding@home though. :)

Drake's Fortune, Warhawk, and Ratchet and Clank by themselves make me want the console more than my 360.

Drake's Fortune is pretty good. How is warhawk?

warhawk = watered down version of battlefield with kickass airship control. that's about it.

call me imature but that's all i can pay attention to in that post. . .lol

i have a wii (two infact :p ) and all i have is Rayman Rabbids and Zelda:TP but i have to say it's a total blast. Zelda does get tiring with the wiimote, but i tried playing Ocarina of Time afterwards and kept finding myself trying to swing the controller to do everything. . .

and Raving Rabbids is about the funnest (officially a word) multiplayer i've done in a long while.

but by the same token, there are some definate lame games for wii too. . .

but there's starting to be a more balanced good/bad ratio at least.

Yeh, Red Steel sucks. MP3 shows how a fps should be done on the Wii.

Wii Sports: just for boxing (one of the five sports)
Mario Party: No idea
Mario Football: Yes
Fifa 2008: Most likely

It's meant to be very, very short. There's stuff to unlock, and when you replay missions bad guys may be dressed up in weird gear like panda suites, but you'll probably finish it on the first play through.

Since when did this become a "What games do you own for the Wii" thread? Anyway, here's my list:
  • Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
  • Resident Evil 4
  • Big Brain Academy (please don't kill me)
  • Super Mario Galaxy

Nothing wrong with Big Brain Academy. It falls into the catagory of games that your mum, girls or non gaming guys will also enjoy - bit like Brain Training. This is one of the things I love most about the Wii - as well as crakcing games like Zelda and Galaxy, you get those that appeal to all. Half the fun in multiplayer is the people you're playing with and with the Wii you get to play with everyone :)

The one I've borrowed for some time now just came with a few party games. Now that I've bought my own for the house (currently wrapped up) I've so far only bothered to grab Mario Galaxy and Brain Academy because it was cheap and came with a second remote (bagged another nun chuck for free from a mate too).

Big Brain is good fun. I give it a spin every once in awhile, if only to beat my roommate's records.

I picked up a used Wii from my buddy for $220, plus Zelda: TP and Call of Duty 3 (which I sold to GameStop, it's pretty atrocious)

So yeah, all I have right now is Wii Sports & Zelda (which is pretty amazing), and I'm just waiting for Brawl. & No More Heroes, that looks good too. And I still haven't played Galaxy. But mostly I just play GC games on there right now. Still doesn't get as much play as my 360.

The Wii is a money sucker though. All my friends bitch at me for not having enough Wiimotes ;) Once I do, I'll get Rayman cuz that game is insanely, stupidly fun with 4 drunk people.
