I was asked to post pictures of my creepy hallways. They are only creepy at night time, so I just took these right now. It's not so creepy to me anymore, because I've lived there forever. What do you think? Wouldn't that make a nice creepy level for Half-Life?

The second one is good, but it would need to be more decadent.

Yes

Pull a Maxpayne2 warehouse.

Have signs that say "exit" but once you get closer they say in blood letters "there is no escape"

These actually look like something off the game, if these picture's graphics were better, at least.

Hooolllyyyy sh*t that was an awesome scene.

I love the scene in Max Payne 1 where he realizes that he's inside of a video game.

It's a real picture. If you don't believe me, I'll take one with me in the picture in the same hallway.

Woah, those tiles have some nice shaders! What engine is that?

(Yes I know it's real =P)

why is this in the General Half-Life 2 forum . . .

It would be a good single player map if you make it at night
just unleash some fast zombies in different parts of the building and there you go, a scary map

but .. it's a hall .. that's not creepy

:S
Are you KIDDING? Did you see that door? I think it moved!

But seriously, dude...those hallways are pretty Half-Lifeish.

wow i would be scared sh!t less if it was all dark and i was there all by myself

I have quite a scary tale from my visit to the stanley hotel if anyone wants to read it

I'm not very good at storytelling so it probably wont be as terrifying as the real thing

EDIT: That looks kind of like the hallways in the Stanley so thats how I thought of it

:p

it could be scary, throw some ravenholm + doom3 onto it.

Just imagine, a fast zombine running down the hall of your own home.
/shivers

Glad you all like the pics. Here is one more. It is extremely creepy walking into the sanctuary at night with all the lights off. I had to get my dad to unlock the door for me to take this one.

That's a cool one.

Thanks. The building was built in 1874, so I guess that's a good reason why everything looks so creepy.

Hmm, I think I'm not going downstairs anymore for tonight. haha

Watch, I'll have nightmares tonight because of this.

You do that, too, huh? Shit, dude...I'll be walking down a dark hallway at night, and my brain will be like "There's something behind you! RUN!" And I, like a dumbass, listen.

Yeah, but, I'm usually not afraid to go downstairs at night, but just the mention of fast zombies running at me sort of change my mind. ha, so I'll be staying up here for a while. But, yeah, I often just stroll the building just thinking of what an awesome game level it would make.

Dude...I have it the worst. I usually go see scary movies on Friday nights, right? I looooove scary movies. But I have work at 5:30 in the morning (I'm the Saturday morning DJ at a local radio station). When I get there, I'm the only one there, and it's a completely dark, desolate parking lot. Then, I have to walk through a totally dark, empty building to get to the totally dark, empty studio. I've been known to scream like a girl in these instances when I hear any sound at all.

Alright...I'm going to take a stab at where you live because I can't figure it out...either you live in an apartment building that has a church built into it...or....you live IN the church....now which one was right??

Awesome pictures by the way.

ffs it has tile floors, it isnt scarey if it has tiled floors!, if you changed the floors to some ripped up carpet and had those howling fast zombies everywhere =]

man im dieing to make a hl2 single player level...*bites nails*

in my possie atm ;) the wind is blowing everything around but windows are all closed :O????, so im gonna hide in the closet and start screaming soon =]

Those are pretty creepy.. Gimmie a night in the hallway and I'd have it scary as hell ;)

Yup, I live in a church. Yes, it's true, we are the caretakers of the building, but I didn't mention it because no one ever believes me when I tell them. If you live around downtown LA, I'll give you a tour...at night!

Well, tell us.

I thought it would be a good idea to take out the sounds a fast zombie makes and just make them have a light breathing / weezing sound, that way you would only know when there really close.....

....jesus
