Pixar grants girl's dying wish to see 'Up'

And what's the difference between a 10 year old white girl dying in comfortable conditions and a 10 year old black kid slaughtered with a machete somewhere in Africa?

She's black.

Although on a more serious note, the difference is that if we were to be treated to the same sappy story starring the black kid, we would be just as sad, if not horrified.

Although yes, we should have equal standards for all humans, we can only have sympathy for the ones we are able to ****ing hear about.

Africa is fine, Angelina Jolie is on it. People don't die there anymore.

We've been informed of the detailed circumstances of one death with comments from berieved family members whereas the other usually only appears as a statistic.
That'd be the difference.

It wasn't sadness I felt, rather anger. Her death didn't achieve nothing, the prick just shot her out of spite.
Despite that she was fictional, you were upset. You watched it or read or the story and you cared something about her. Did you read this story? I found it sad that Pixar's girl was fading away and she was too weak to enjoy her last story.

Just try to imagine how it feels to know you are dying at only 10 years old, iceman. No fair.

It's none of my concern what emotions people have about this, but I guess it's the fact that people are trying to figure out what's wrong with us for thinking this is sad.

When I read a story, it's like I'm there.

What I found most sad about this story, is the fact that the movie seems to be symbolic about death. And i think its interesting that her last dying wish was to see a particular movie, instead of say a crappy sequel disney movie. But also its the idea of imagining her watching it on her deathbed while in great pain, just trying to enjoy one more story apart of this world.
