Planes are crap?

When all the AA on a map is manned, if you go to bomb one of them you have 3 others and the enemy jet after you, that is a lot of missles to dodge. And the man power "wasted" on keeping air control is more than made up for their loss of air.

Think about this. Keeping one or two of your enemies in an AA turret only makes your team's objective even easier.

Oh, and did I mention how easy it is to dodge pretty much all lock-ons, except enemy aircraft, but most times I can just lose them by doing some of my fancy airwork while afterburning, and they either give up because they don't have enough control, or I force them to crash into a hill or something. This works great on Dalian Plant. I can't remember how many times I've had some guy chasing me, so all I do is perform one big swoop down, just clearing above one of those big silos, and kaboom, crash. Or, I just do barrell rolls while flying close to the ground and fly erratically to make them lose their patience and calmness, which usally makes them crash.

Oh I see. Why Helo though? I usually call em Heli's.

First say "Hellicopter". Now say it again and pay close attention to the sylables.

When you say "hellicopter", you say it "hell uh copter", not "hell ee copter".

From there, helluh comes to helo because it's easier to say in the midst of a firefight.

Just what I think, nothing official.

Those "extra" people just make more targets for your teams air. Believe me, this kind of stuff never happens in pubs so I am sure you have never had to deal with it.

Helicopters and Aircraft both fill important roles in the game.

On a smaller map, helicopters provide much needed anti-tank support to infantry squads.

As the maps get bigger and there's a lot more space to cover, and enemy aircraft fill the skies, you have to battle to keep air superiority--that's where the fighters come in--and you want to interdict enemy reinforcements--which is where the bombers shine. The bombers are very good at taking out targets they can find--but that's key, aircraft are moving so fast they aren't a good platform for hunting out individual targets of opportunity and destroying them.

So having aircraft doesn't mean helicopters are suddenly useless. They can still fill the same useful role, providing support for infantry squads against enemy armour, or maybe doing recon for the commander, or just meandering around guarding your team's flanks against infiltration.

Why are you people arguing for one or the other? just use both!

I only fly planes to show off :) doing low barrel rolls etc.. or precise bombings :) (flying straight to the ground, and release them and quickly pull up (most just fall to the same place..))

Don't forget, all enemy vehicles show up on the bomb sites, and the commander can tell you where to bomb.
