Player-made Movies...

Are you intrigued by the whole player-made movie idea? Have you ever made one of these movies or do you enjoy watching the BF1942 stunt movies, or the Halo movies, or even the PlanetSide movies?

I'm currently in the design phase of something that you might want to know about. I've created a document that details all the facets of my idea and I'll e-mail it to anyone who is interested in joining the team.

To clarify. I'm trying to build the first community that I anticipate will be growing immensely over the next few years (player-made video game movies).

You will have the opportunity of getting in at the base and and having a lot of fun in this new era of PC gaming.

Machinima is pretty popular, has been for a while, its becoming more public now though especially with bf1942 movies etc.
some of its nice, but Im not really a fan.

I actually had no idea it had a name, machinima. That's interesting.

At any rate, I worked on the Development document at work and forgot to forward it to my home. Those that want it can still e-mail me and I'll send it out first thing tomorrow morning.

It includes a detailed timeline of the development phases, descriptions of the various teams involved, and of course a rough copy of the feature list.

This type of thing has been around for a long time. Do any of you guys remember the old Quake 2 movie that was a rip off TV sitcoms? I think they even did a talk show themed movie. Man I wish I could remember the name of that. It was insanely funny back then.

Hehe....I still watch Red vs Blue....they even had some awards in New York recently, and they took home a lot of them

I always appear to be a day late and a dollar short...

I still have faith I can improve on the various machinima sites out there, but it's going to be tougher direct competition than I originally had thought.

machinima.org is probably the main competition, and while their site is lacking visually, they have the content.

Gaming Media Perspective is another in the competition. While I feel they don't have the activity nor the content I will have, they do have a decent looking layout.

Well see how it goes.
