Playing Little by Little...

I love this game so much that I don't want it to end. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. So, what I'm doing is playing only 1 chapter a day. It just makes it so much sweeter for me. All day at school I am excited about coming home and playing HL2.

The thing is that the game is so good that often times it's hard to actually stop playing. I played through Ravenholm today, and that was supposed to be it. Once I got to the next chapter I said "Eh, I'll just play a little." I ended up playing quite a ways into the next part, then I forced myself to stop. The idea for me is that by playing it chapter by chapter, I will make the game last about 7 or 8 more days.

Is anyone else doing it this way?

I'm probably like 1/2 or 3/4 of the way through the buggy part. Can anyone who has beaten the majority of the game assure me that it will last a lot longer than I think it will?

man i tried the same. i work at 5pm-11pm, and mon and tues i stayed up till 6am. getting all excited knowing that after work im gonna get stoned and play hl2. now im afraid its gonna end soon.

hopefully there will by a civilian vs combine MP mod.

I just started doing this today. I'm a little more than half way through and I just don't want it to end so soon. Great game.

Same here. I'm playing on Hard and taking it a few chapters at a time. I've replayed the beginning once, and played a little HL:S in between chapters. I've spent over 12 hours in-game and I'm just now getting through Highway 17. Everytime I play, I'm stunned by how cool it really is. My expectations were sky-high and Valve still blew me away.

It's hard but I try it aswell. I will need to write my review this weekend but still try to keep back. But I know what you mean, thinking about playing a "little" intp the next part but ending up playing on Forcefully removed myself from the game everytime to not spoil it.

i play a chapter then sometimes replay the whole capter again seeing how its so fun...im almost at the end of water hazard..is that like 1/8 of the game so far?

i'm doing the same thing.. just got to highway 17
probably should have played it on hard.. if i died more i'd be seeing more of the physics.. as it is, run and gun (i love the sprint)
in fact, i think i'm moving fast through the game(even though i'm only playing an hour a day), has anyone else been told by Alyx that you're moving really fast?

I work my a** off at work, and haven't even had time to play. I wish I had the luxury of only playing one chapter a day. I've had the game since Tues, and I am at the buggy level, and that is playing as much as I can!

I'll be lucky if I'm finished by X-Mas. God I hope work slows down!

I've played about 2 hours a day since tuesday. I just finished "Highway 17", and am at the start of "Sandtraps." (In the tunnel.)

This game is so long and varied, that I really cant imagine it would be boring a second or third time through. I'm about 3/4ths through the game now and looking forward to the ending. Then, when I have some free time, I'm going to start it all over again!
