Playing Portal first

Will playing Portal first reveal any spoilers for Ep2? As I heard they are related somehow.

So play whichever you want first

I have heard that you can play them in either order and it wont spoil anything.

I would suggest playing Ep2 first though, because you may unveil some things about portal that you would recognize. If you really want to be into the story the first time around, you will want to play in Gordon's shoes (erm... HEV suit) and remain blissfully unaware and puzzled about whatever you find relating to portal.

All depends on how you want to play.

Gordon would have no idea what apeture science is, what happened within it or anything. I prefer to play in his shoes so I'll play Ep2 first, but i believe there is already a thread about this somewhere else.

I'm going to play Portal first. I'm very interested in it. It's something unique while EP2 is like "more of the same". Which is excellent, of course.

Nope. Not until after the release.

I'm playing Ep2 first, as Portal is more of an afterwards thing anyways.

I am not sure if I am really ready to get in Gordon's shoes yet though, I like to really get into the feel of being Gordon Freeman when I start new HL games.
