Playing the Demo

Will I be able to spawn any npc or creature within the demo or maybe create battles? And aslo, would I be able to open up a map, for example I download Building Blocks Final, would I be able to play? Trying to help out a friend who wants to try HL2 out.

hahhaha no but u can do cheats like this...
first type sv_cheats 1 in console then u can do shit like give item_suit
give weapon_pistol and give weapon_smg1 !!! Thats all i can tell u but im not sure with the creatures il have to try it out and no u wont be able to open up any other maps its a ****in demo

crossbow crashes the demo, or for me at least it did.

The Npcs you can spawn in the demo that I've found are:

npc_breen
npc_headcrab
npc_citizen
npc_zombie
npc_metropolice
npc_kleiner
npc_barney
npc_vorigaunt (sp?)
npc_strider (I think)
npc_monk (I think)
npc_cscanner

Those are all I've found so far.
