Playing through FEAR, gotta question

But his body was never found and his transmittor has been spotted intermittently.
Snap I'm tired. Played it right before I went to bed and I had the worst night of sleeping in years. Woke up at least twice every hour and had a heck of a time going back to sleep. *yawn* :(

Agh, just beat it and am still shaking :S

Wow, what an ending. And yes I watched the ending credits too.

Congratulations, hope you liked it. :)
It was absolutely incredible.

It was interesting how my feelings toward Alma shifted through the game. It went from terror, to fear, to indifference, to concern, to pity.
Fettel was right when he said they all deserved to die.
P.S. what's with all the computer games that make it difficult to decide the bad guy?

Bump

Well, judging by some of the posts here, I'm about half way done with F.E.A.R. now, and I must say I find it fairly..."meh".

Don't get me wrong, looks good, sounds good, but the gameplay is so very samey it's unbearable. And scary? It has tried to make me jump, but without success so far. I mean, when a phantom appears, or your team mates suddenly combust mysteriously, I don't think I'm finding it as truely frightening as its intended to be.

Fettel and Alma have appeared randomly now and again, but don't seem to do anything.

Unless, like at the start, they're blowing you through windows or laying you out with 2x4's :p

I know many have praised the A.I as some of the best out there, but I'm not impressed so far. I find that if you can locate a small hiding place where you have a decent amount of cover, you can draw enemies out one by one with a little bit of fire, and them cut them down. If this isn't possible, and you have to tackle them in a wide and open area, just wire the slo-mo feature on and get blasting. This is only on moderate though, but I suspect the harder difficulties just mean that they dish out more and can take more.

However, the game has one brilliant feature. The flying scissor kick. Nuff said.

Whenever I try that, I hear the sounce of a metal ball bouncing, then !BOOM!, then I'm dead. :(

FEAR goes for a different kind of fear than the "Make you jump out of your skin" type of fear. It's supposed to make your skin crawl.
