"According to Japan Today, the U.S. District Court in Oakland, California, has ordered Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and its U.S. unit to pay $90.7 million in damages to Immersion Corp. for patent infringement over controllers used with PlayStation game consoles. In the ruling handed down Thursday, the federal court also ordered Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Entertainment America Inc. to stop selling the PlayStation and PlayStation 2 game consoles using Dualshock controllers as well as more than 40 game software products."

Well since I hate Sony...YIPPY.

The fact is that Sony did something wrong, and now they pay for it.

Btw, this shows how greedy the people in the U.S. are not how greedy the U.S. is, that would imply that the Goverment is getting the money.

The fact is that Sony stole a design and guess what, it's there fault. Not anyone elses but theres. They went stupid and screwed up. Nintendo..there not as stupid.

Now if I remember correctly, Microsoft settled and then bought a large portion of the company? Could microsoft be getting some of that $90 million.

What do you mean, Nintendo's not stupid?

They told Sony to build them a console. Sony said OK. Nintendo tried to pay them with a flat down fee, whcih was out of contract. Sony said no. Nintendo got mad and shouted alot. Sony went off and made the Playstation. Nintendo went "damn, a compeditor!"
