Hello guys, I new to this forum so please be patient with me.
Kay, anyway, I bought Half-Life 2 and tried to download it on my computer.
It downloaded fine but when I tried to play the file, this 'Steam' thingy pops up and prevents me from playing the game.

Please tell me the steps to take! I love Half-Life Blue Shift and I can't wait to play this game! ^.^ :stare: Thx!

You have to download Steam and regester your copy of HL2 on it with you username(that cannot be changed!) and password. Steam will outomaticaly update HL2 for you.

Yeah steam can really be a bitch to newbies.

One moment you're talking about HL2, and the other about HL:BS

I'd help you but im not qualified and don't get paid enough

yes, but when your a noob its all new to you, and its a kind of "newfound" hate. But when your not a noob its like "aww, great. Steam again."

Ahhh the power of Steam over the mind. It reminds me of this:

It’s interesting to me to see how many people respond to this seriously. I look at that and I just see troll.

Right click and select properties, There is a URL listed in there.

Alternatively just right click it and save it to your HDD.
