Please Help!! Monitor!

Ok, so im playing The Specialists mod for Halflife, and go downstairs for dinner for about 30 minutes. When i came back, i was not happy with what i saw, the screen was tinted green, a pukish green and it still is. I tryed resetting colors, and it didnt help much : ( Its a MAG INNOVISION XJ810, and its about 6 years old, any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

unplug it and make sure that there is NOTHING NEAR it and make sure the powercord is directly connected without interference. also that happens when it sortof gets halfway unpluged on the back of the computer.

I bet if you hit the monitor on one of the top corners, it will go back to normal.
But the monitor will eventually die if it's the same thing that happened to mine.

Yeah, make sure the monitor is plugged nice and firmly into your video card before writing it off.

The monitor cable probably isn't connected to the graphics card correctly. Just check the back of your computer and make sure that the monitor cable is tightened as much as poissible and push it firmly in. Then the dodgy colours should soon go off your monitor if it's in enough. It used to do that on mine. Don't worry.

If that doesn't work i would suggest getting a new monitor anyway! 6 years is too old for me!

Yes please get a new monitor, not just for the sake of you, but for the sake of the gaming community.

I would suggest something in a form of a 19" inch LCD. Like this one.

A 19inch viewsonic flatscreen won't break the bank and will put any lcd to shame. It's big because it's so full of savings!
