Alright I got hl2 (finally!!) but when I try to install it I put the cd I get on the cd rom and then it does some weird stupid sound and I can't install then I tried it over my steam account to register hl2 I put in the cd key then I click next it said "please insert your half life 2 cd Retail Standard or DVD into your harddrive" YEAH ppl please help me..I wanted this game all the time and now that shit gonna tell me it don't work?! Thanks for the help I will really appreciate it!

I don't know how to fix your problem, I could barely understand it. If you want "help", I'd suggest you go to the steampowered forums and add your complaint to the mountain.

Badaim, sounds like the disk might be buggered, if possible try it on another drive first though. I've heard of things about the CD one having problems though, so your best bet is to check steampowered, they should have some FAQ somewhere on how to fix it if its a known problem.
