While fans will say it's really different.. it really isn't. It's basically the same thing with neater graphics and maybe some different things to do after the elite 4. For all purposes, it's the same game.

Still making Half-Life games? What is different about them now? I gave up on them after HL2, please tell me they haven't just added 2 or 3 new enemies to the same game.


Bought Soul Silver, because Gold/Silver was definitely the peak of the series. Can't say I'm too interested in these, because in all honesty they have stretched the formula out for too many games. I'd like a decent MMO or a serious re-imagining of the franchise (can you say, POKEMON DEATH?).

I think I might go through diamond/pearl afterwards because I discovered that it's just nice beating a bunch of gym leaders. What makes that even more exciting is trading over the starters from the generations you're familiar with, was a blast doing it with past games and I don't see why it won't work with these either.

So in memory of this thread, I looked for my gameboy original (big yellow brick) and pokemon blue. I found the gameboy but no blue. My level 100 venosaur lost

So now I'm installing a GBA emulator onto my CFW on my PSP. I will not be defeated and I'm not paying for the GBA emulator for android (yet). Going to get me a bulbasaur again.

I have Pokemon platinum at the moment and I'm finding it hard to bring myself to play it as I don't know what half the Pokemon actually are, maybe because I haven't watched the show since the original series, or maybe it's because I just haven't played any of the games since Pokemon Gold. Perhaps I just need to play through it and learn these things.

Another thing I always wanted to do was collect a specific type of Pokemon like other trainers you meet in the games, like ghost types or rock types, maybe I'm just too fussy.

Might just have to dust off the DSi and get into it.

There's so much stuff like this it's ****ing sad the amount of potential this universe has that's been utterly squandered for over a decade.

And the show has practically nothing to do with the games, morg. Its an afterthought.

I thought you were talking about the potential that people in our actual universe have that's being wasted on collecting Pokemon in a video game.

Reading through the manual I notice it recommends playing a character the same gender as you, why is this?
