I'm going to be the first to admit that i'm 18 (19 in 4 days) and I like Pokemon games. I don't like the show or anything, but I think the games are well above decent. I'm betting FireRed/LeafGreen will be Red/Blue just with a different story, but it'll still rock. Anyone else want to admit to liking the Pokemon games?

Gotta catch 'em all  :farmer:

Pokemon sucks, nuff said.

Hmm... Well I do like the images one can find by including "xxx" in a pokemon search.

Pokémon is the worst thing man has ever created. Seriously, the H-Bomb doesn't even come close. You're 18? Do you know that Pokémon was designed to preoccupy pre-school children in Japan? I mean that would put me off right there.

Pokemon rocks.

Damn, my childhood rival "KAZ" has chosen a FIRE pokemon to rival my GRASS type pokemon! Oh noes!!

I have friends that play that game, im sad to say includeing the card game. Whyll the card game, movies, episodes and other merchandice are utterly pointless "i cant see why people would want to pay alot of money for paper" but as for the game itself i would consider playing it just becuase it is a good rpg. It isnt no final fantasy 7, but it would do. :)

I have a friend who is 17, or 18 and he used to play the pokemon games, he knew pokemon was kinda stupid and pointless but he played it because believe it or not, it actually had a very good RPG element. However he doesnt play any of the card games because thats just silly

I liked pokemon when I was a kid
but I forget it at all

Oh my god.

Edit - Notice how everyone says, "my friend". Your not fooling anyone.:p

Well I used to like it some years back but ive grown out of it, and im not lying about my friend :)

OMG:O...j/k How's it going man, it's been a while.

There was a game for the PlayStation that pretty much copied the Poke'mon gameplay, but had much better graphics of course. It was a pretty good RPG from that I saw. Can't remember what it's called though.

In the end pokemon on the game boy is just another quality RPG, you battle with turn based style and you gain experience but that fact but the whole "each creatures is unique" thing is good and unique.

its a very good gameboy rpg. its a stupid franchise, with stupid preteen boys and girls who play the card game, tv show, buy pokemon lunchboxes, etc. i played pokemon up to the "yellow" version, because i couldent be arsed to figure out what the hell all the new ones were.

Im looking forward to it comeing out (I beileve its out within afew weeks?) and I will be buying at least one of them, friend of mine will be buying the other.

Im 19 and I like the pokemon games, and I dont really care if people think its sad.

Well, I played Pokémon Blue version when it came out, and I loved it. I still think it was a pretty good game, as a turn-based RPG and everything. Gave it to my 6-year-old brother and he likes it, too :). Never bothered with the other games, because there are like 500 pokémon now, eh? Seemed just like over-hyped crap to me.

What I didn't like was all the other Pokémon things, and how commecialized it got. That TV show was funny to laugh at, like most children's animé :p.

Hoorah.

The good thing about the new games is that I think it's mostly the old pokemon that are in it. You choose from Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle in the beginning, rather than the newer ones. I have 2 badges and still haven't come accross any newer pokemon yet.

I've played Ruby/Sapphire with the new pokemon and I still don't know any of their names, that's how much of an impression they made on me... better to have the old ones back.

Yep, I used to play the Gameboy game too. I had the yellow version, and I really hated that I had to start with Pikachu, it just sucks so much. First thing I always did, was put it in the box.
