Now a new poll conducted by Swedish newspaper DN.se predicts that the Pirate Party will get 5.1% of all [Swedish] votes in the upcoming EU elections this June - enough to guarantee a seat in the European Parliament. The poll further shows that the party is the second largest party among younger voters in the age group 18-30.

Outside of being a larger voice I wonder how much impact one seat out of 785 can have.

It's interesting to see the rising role the Internet has in politics.

These polls are fairly inaccurate, as not many people participate in the EU elections.

Their political agenda wants to get rid of all commercialized (and thus, also, organized) invention, research and art, which I don't support.

If more people voted, they could get even more per cent. But only 30% know that the election is taking place, so the turnout will be shit.
