I initially liked Portal 1, but you know what ruined it for me? The fan base.

Well, Valve is partly to blame for that since they knew that their game would generate a ton of memes upon release.

every game has it. How prevalent it is is just based on popularity. And valve games are popular now.

I had to listen to 3 girls sing the Portal song loudly and repeatedly during lunch at the dorm cafeteria once. It was pretty weird, the singing wasn't that great, and they kept stop-starting because one or two of them would forget the words and had to figure it out. So just be glad you didn't experience that.

Anyhow, I shared the free Portal thing on facebook and think maybe a couple of people got to take advantage of it.

Well my brother didn't have it yet so this is awesome for him. We will likely be playing Portal 2 shortly. Valve is just amazing.
