Portal music not working

I have every file for portal but the music files do not work but the music files are playable when I open them. Is there a script that controls the music level? I have all of my speakers working and in the options, I have my volume at full. Also, I reinstalled the game but it didn't work. Any fix?

verify your game files then tell me if you purchased orange box in store, or off steam, or off uTorrent

umm its obvious he did, he wouldn't be aware if he had the music files or not because they are compressed in GCF in the legit game.

Would they not be in a pirate game?

pirated games aren't run in gcfs unless im wrong there.

doesn't seem TOO concerned about it....still hasn't checked in on his thread he started....or hasn't replied because he hasn't gotten an answer! lol

I'am guessing he has a pirated version, unless he went to the trouble of getting GCFscape and checking he has the sound files. Most pirated versions tend not to come with GCFS
