My daughter has a 486 dx/66 , my son has a AMD 550 with a geforce 3 ti 200, my 2 computers are a Athlon Xp 1700+ with a geforce 4 ti 4600 and a Athlon Xp 2500+ (o/c to 2.1 ghz) with a soon to be Geforce FX 5900 Ultra (or Radeon 9800 pro, still tossed on which to get).

My sons 550 runs games like Vice City, Morrowind and Ravenshield all fine and their min reqs are in the 700 mhz range so hopefully it will run HL2 half as good as my 1.4 ghz Athlon .. but my 2500 + with 1 ghz of ram will be the first to have it installed

A few months ago I was worried that I'd have to get HL2 for XBOX instead of PC... I had a Pentium II 266, 128MB RAM, GeForce2, and a 4GB HD... it barely ran HL1.

But my wonderful, wonderful P) parents bought me a decent PC for my birthday... thankyou!

TAZ what the hell does your daughter do with a 486 DX/66??? Its not even a DX2/66. That was my very first computer ever! ... right now I think it might not even serve as a decent calculator

I got it for free from a friend.. it's good enough for her to browse her barbie sites.. she is only 3

She loves playing old games on it , figure it will keep her busy and off my other computers.
