Possible small Steam update last night?

Last night I launched steam around 11pm and the steam update window appeared for a few seconds, filled up and then steam logged into my account.

Did anyone else see this? I cannot find any news on a steam update today though.

What is really annoying me is that Steam keeps trying to verify my Codename: Gordon, but in the process causes some error and I have to alt+ctrl+delete Steam...

Guys don't freak out at the original poster. Solideliquid never actually stated that this small steam update was relevant or connected with HL2. He was merely stating that it is weird how steam updated real quick. And that has happened to me many times, with no real "update", and nothing has been posted over at steampowered.com.

I doubt a Steam update will be released on a weekend. They alway seemed to happen on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
