Call it a compensation for peripheral vision. In real life you have a much better sense of awareness for the people around you. You can move your head independently in arma which does help check your surroundings, but even then it's not quite enough.
Only works on vehicles, not personnel.OFP Elite And IIRC ARMA1 too already had such compensation in the form of green "blobs" appearing on the edges of the screen to indicate an enemy, person, vehicle etc.
Not a screenshot, but **** it. Watch in full screen if you want to read the text.

OK, here are some screenshots from Two Worlds II. It is LOADS of open world RPG awesome.
Well, here's an example: In the first hour or so that I was playing, I stumbled across a cave in the middle of the savannah and went in thinking how cool it would be to explore a cave for treasures and such. Once I got in I walked through a few tunnels until I saw a giant scorpion coming at me. I thought I would see how tough he was and I probably would have too if he didn't kill me with one blow. Same thing happened in a different tomb with a skeleton that whooped the shit out of me. I LOVE games that let you run into high-level baddies without leveling them to you (like some other obvious titles do). I had a really hard time in the beginning until I figured how best to build my character once he had leveled a bit, so it is by no means a cakewalk. One of the coolest things in the game so far (I am in chapter 2 of 4) is a map you get from one seemingly random quest that has the locations of:How hard is it?
Compared to say the Gothic series for example?
Dude, that's what digital distribution is for! Just download the "Two Worlds II (PC) Download / License" here. That's where I got it from--the official shop. Worked great. Not one issue. Unless you really want the box and stuff. I am personally trying to get rid of a lot of my clutter.Damn, that sounds appealing. Looks like it's not out in other territories until next month though?
I am not at the end, but I think you should be fine if that is your main concern. The fun of it so far has been really tailoring my character to fit my gameplay style and you have total freedom to do that however you like. So I typically like a pretty strong character with awesome weapons, but I also like to add some stealthy bits and trap-laying is wicked too, so I can do this. I can also make sure I have some magic on hands to impress my friends. Some of the enemies do respawn I have seen, but have not paid as much attention to this fact as I should to answer your question definitively. I know there is a TON of stuff to kill, so you won't need to grind too hard on any one particular area because just getting through that area should prove tough enough and should give you enough experience to progress, but it seems like there are plenty of opportunities to go out on your own and run around and kill things outside of the main quest and the side quests have loads of content there too. However, if you are looking for grinding like in a Dragon Quest game, you will not find 100 hours of just killing the same creatures (or you may and I just have not found it yet). I just like a game that actually has me nervous when I venture into a new area or off the beaten path because I don't know what I might find in terms of a high-level dungeon or a high-level monster. This is how games of this nature should be done. I hope Skyrim gets this right at least.I'm a bit afraid of getting Two World if it will most likely end up like Gothic 1 did for me(Me ****ing up the character build but the game not making me realize it until I'm 2 hours away from beating it, meaning I've wasted a huge amount of hours, prompting me to rage and uninstall said game.)
I'm spoiled by older RPGs that always had grinding(i.e. respawning enemies) such as the old Gold Box games, the Might & Magic RPGs, Wizardry 7 etc.
Bravo.Too bad Two Worlds 2
Great to hear! I think you will really like it. I can't seem to get enough of it. Also, more enemies are respawning since I am taking notice of it now, so that's good for some grinding areas.Yeah, I bought it, I read up more on the game and especially the crafting system, so I felt I have to get this game!
I don't mind the lack of scaling enemies etc myself, I loved Morrowind for example, where you could run into enemies which you had no chance against at if you weren't a high enough level!
Got the 360 version of TWII though, on account of my shitty PC.
You sure can. Lots of opportunity for that. Try it with them in the room for a little extra fun.I'm interested in it too. Can I go into peoples houses and steal stuff?
