Post counts and rankings

Hi, does anyone know how many posts are needed to become a zombie, antlion, hydra, and the others? I'm mainly just curious. Also, has this site ever had any plans to introduce some form of post counter, so people can see how many times they have posted? I saw them on quite a few other forums and found them quite useful. However, they do encourage spamming when people see they are close to a new ranking. Does anyone have any opinions on them?

Zombie (Minimum Posts: 10)
Ant Lion (Minimum Posts: 200)
Prowler (Minimum Posts: 430)
Hydra (Minimum Posts: 520)
Strider (Minimum Posts: 760)
Combine (Minimum Posts: 880)

We had a post counter a long time ago, but removed it because of peoples nature to spam to raise it. We only have rankings now, which give a more broad sense of 'achievement' (If that).

It took me much more than 10 posts to become a zombie. I'd say around 50. Are you sure those numbers are correct?

They come straight from checking the Admin CP, so I don't see how they could be wrong.

It's correct. I've recently changed it due to the thoughtless comments from a few about people with the 'HeadCrab' title.

It's 10. I've been checking the records, and people with 10 posts are Zombies.

Good idea. I've noticed that lots of people tend to respect things someone says a lot less if they are a headcrab.

How recently was it changed? Seems a bit of a big jump from zombie to antlion, but i'll get there in the end.

No way; I had to be headcrab for a couple of months and now you only need 10 posts to get to zombie! :O

BTW I think the admin should add some more at the end like G-man or something more imaginative, I'm sure some people on this forum must be getting to about 3000 posts by now.

Nope, I'm actually only just reaching 2000 now. nw909 has that post count, which isn't surprising :hmph:

Not that long ago.. it took 100 posts to become a zombie...

I'm pretty sure that's how long it took me.
