No my friend, each one of those dots is an entire galaxy capable of supporting billions of stars.

A Horizons episode on BBC titled "The Six Billion Dollar Experiment." There are some really cool things dealing with astronomy in there. They farther you look out into space, the farther you are looking back into time.

it's even more crazy that in the pic TCfromBN posted each of those tiny bright lights is an entire galaxy. There are trillions of stars in that image. The Hubble Deep Space Field is so ftw.

If we invent warp speeds and can travel at the speed of light through space etc etc Star Trek style, then yeah i think we'd explore the galaxy and find new worlds and species etc (i mean come on, theres NO WAY we're the only species in this universe, we're only here because of the planet's habitable conditions).

But looking at some of those pics, its just incomprehendable how many stars, worlds and planets there are out there...***t, its too big to to put a limit on it.

Thats exactly it. We assume our world is the only inhabitable type of planet, but extremeophiles or however you spell it have shown that it is possible to live in the most extreme enviroments that would kill us quickly.
